Longer

Last week I was listening to a radio sermon by Dr. David Jeremiah and he told the following story.

A man took his four year old daughter out to breakfast for some father daughter time.  They ordered their food, sat down and after a while, their food was brought out to them.

Before they began eating, he reminded her how special and precious she was.  He reminded her about how much he and her mother loved her and about how sweet and good she was.  I would guess the man spent a minute or two expressing how much she was loved.  And then he finished.

He turned to his plate of food and before he could eat, his daughter touched by her father’s words and wanting to hear more, rested her hand on his and said, “Longer Daddy.  Longer.”

This man certainly connected with and touched his little girl’s heart with his kind words.  A good reminder.

    1. Barbara,

Thanks for the comment. I’m glad you enjoyed “Longer.” And thanks for following. As much as I enjoy writing, I am thankful for Jesus much more. An understatement. It’s summer vacation. Hopefully I can post some more.
